humorous or troubling
I think she was being sarcastic Jason.
I sure she was, without smiley faces it was just hard to tell is all..
Jason, just so u know, Lisa’s commented here a few times and I’m pretty sure that Jeff would have known how to take the comment.
Let me say again how great it is to have you and Brandy back! 🙂
Thanks my friend, btw…did you see my comments on the live preview post on your blog…
Jason, sorry about the failure to employ smiley faces. I fancy myself a purest, you see, that is, someone perfectly capable of making points in the written word without resort to cartoons, in other words, through typos, misspellings and ambiguity.
no offense meant
Jason – I think you stepped right into that one 😉 You’ll find Lisa brings a perspective that is both challenging and quite refreshing. She has certainly added something to the conversations around LwC. To see there’s now a truce between her and Mike, well… it just brings tears to my eyes. There is a God 😀
Lisa – shhh, if it get’s out that I read MJ people may take it the wrong way. Actually, I enjoy MJ’s treatment of justice issues. They tend to be well researched and cleverly written. I don’t always agree with conclusions drawn, although more so than not. Another regular read of mine is Sojourners.
Graham – I agree, it’s both humorous and troubling. As it is so easy to put real faces to many of those cartoon characters, it actually becomes rather sad.
You have my promise to respond kindly toward you from now on.
Mike – That is just plain cool! If only I had a fitting picture to post 😎
Jeff, thanks. Does this picture express it?
– Jeff: THANKS for the Tips! THE EVER BEST seminar about Migration. EASTER Greetings from Sweden.
– Mike M: THANKS for the ever best photo! It must be your cat and rat. Kingdom of Peace has come.
Mike, are you the rat or the cat? (lol wink smiley face)
There are some truly awesome people at LwC. I have learned a lot from reading people’s blogs, comments, posts and discussion and from having discussions in here. Since there is so much love going around I too would like to express the patience exhibited by those who have put up with the sometimes sarcastic, usually “liberal” and often challenging comments that myself, (and that Lisa girl) have made and will undoubtedly continue to make.
One thing I have discovered, is that there really is not a “norm” for Christians. Even those who share the same beliefs see things very differently.
What’s this post about?
So, you’re saying there’s nothing normal about Christians? 😎
What’s this post about?
Did you click the link? At first I laughed, but the more I considered it the more troubled I became.
Oh sure Jeff, point out that I did not click on the link! That was really good! Here’s a link you may, or may not enjoy….http://www.badchristian.com/2006/03/29/the-immigration-crisis-irreverently
The clip you linked to was great! Did you know that some people who are legally trying to immigrate to the US having been waiting for 18 years for the process to go through! And that was before 911! That’s longer then death row inmates wait! I wonder if it takes white immigrants as long? Good link….thanks.
😎 Mike, you are one of a kind! Hey, did you go check out Dag’s blog? He used your cat/rat picture the other day. You may need to brush up on your Swedish if you want to read through other parts of his blog.
PS Mike- that picture you posted of the cat and the rat is the “before” picture. You don’t want to see the “after” picture, trust me….
Jeff, you are right about the attitude in the blog I linked. I’ve heard that attitude time and time again, even here at LwC. People that are religious don’t necessarily understand politics, do they? (not to claim I do, not world politics anyway)
Cheers. And don’t harass us Canadians. We are your neighbors, you know….
